Participant Dining

At the 2027 World Scout Jamboree, participant dining will operate through a food market model. We plan to partner with a well-established supermarket provider based in Poland to ensure an effective and efficient supply chain that can meet participant demand throughout the event.

Each participant unit will nominate representatives to collect ingredients for the preparation of their three daily meals from their designated food market. There will be four food markets, one located in each Hub, to serve all participant units.

Camp Cookbook

We’re excited to announce that the WSJ2027 Campbook will be created in collaboration with Scouts from around the world! This project offers a wonderful opportunity for all Scouts—not just participants—to contribute their creativity, culture, and flavour to the Jamboree experience.

We invite Contingents to help spread the word and encourage contributions from across your organisations. Together, we’ll build a truly global collection of ideas, stories, and recipes that celebrate our shared Scouting spirit. More information on how to contribute to the Cookbook will be shared in due time.

Participants will be welcome to follow recipes from the Campbook, which will feature a well-balanced and diverse range of meal ideas, or experiment with their own creations using the ingredients available in the food markets. However, they choose to cook, it’s all about sharing good food, great company, and international friendship.

 IST Dining

The dining provision for the International Service Team (IST) will follow a similar model to recent Jamborees, featuring a large, central dining hall operated by a professional catering company.

Breakfast and the evening meal will be served in the dining hall, while lunch will be provided as a takeaway option, collected during the breakfast period. We are closely working together with all departments to ensure that meal service times are suitable and convenient for all IST members dining in the facility.

Dietary Requirements

The 26th World Scout Jamboree is being held in Poland; therefore, our suppliers will be accustomed to operating within Poland and will be influenced by their existing Polish supply chain and historical sales data. However, we could positively influence these factors by providing comprehensive detailed information on the diets of our participants and volunteers.

What do we mean by dietary requirements?

A dietary requirement may range from a preference for a vegetarian or vegan diet, faith-based diets, medical diets, culturally followed diets, to specific lifestyle choices.

What constitutes a standard diet in one culture may differ from that in others across the globe. By helping us clearly define these dietary profiles, you can assist us in ensuring that the suppliers receive the necessary information to meet everyone's needs. Therefore, it is essential that you provide as much detail as possible at the time of registration and throughout as needs change, as this information will form the basis of our planning. We have listed several common dietary requirement categories on the registration form for individuals to select as appropriate; however, this list is by no means exhaustive. If you feel that any dietary needs of your contingent are not covered or will not be met through the information you provide, please contact the Contingent Relations Department.

More critical diets—such as allergies that, if not strictly followed, could result in severe or life- threatening conditions like anaphylaxis—must be communicated to us with as much detail as possible

Additionally, there are highly specialized and complex dietary needs. If your contingent has individuals who may fall into this category—such as those with multiple allergies, or those following specific medical or uncommon faith-based diets — we would like to know. We will soon release more information on how to do this.

We ask you to be precise when specifying each individual’s dietary needs; don’t forget, what is customary/ common in your culture may not be the same elsewhere. If a particular dietary consideration is important to you, inform us so that we can be adequately prepared and meet your expectations.

Food Sustainability

We are committed to making the 2027 World Scout Jamboree the most sustainable to date, with a particular focus on meat-free and environmentally responsible food choices. This approach will be reflected both in the Campbook recipes and in the menus served in the IST dining facility.

While the Jamboree will not be entirely meat-free, we encourage participants and volunteers to support our sustainability goals by choosing the less environmentally impactful options whenever possible.

To help everyone make informed decisions, we will provide clear information and guidance throughout the event to support our shared commitment to sustainability and responsible consumption.

Food Success

We all share a common goal — ensuring that everyone eats well and enjoys their dining experience at the Jamboree. To help make this possible, here are a few helpful hints and reminders for Heads of Contingents to share with their teams:

Together, by following these simple steps, we can help make the Jamboree dining experience positive, inclusive, and enjoyable for everyone.
