A Larger, More Connected Jamboree

The World Scout Jamboree will be organized into four large hubs: Yellow, Red, Green, and Purple. Each hub will host four subcamps, giving us a total of 16 participant subcamps across the site.

Every subcamp will bring together around 2,250 participants, divided into approximately 56 units. Units consist of four patrols camping together. In the case a Contingent will not be able to register full units by themselves, international units will be formed to camp together on one unit site. The Units remain the central element of camp life, providing a home base for up to 40 participants, including leaders and carers. This structure ensures that the Jamboree feels both global and personal, with opportunities for large-scale community experiences as well as intimate, unit-level bonding.

Living Arrangements and Equipment

Units will be provided with the essential infrastructure to support daily life. Each unit will receive:

• Dining shelter
• Tables and benches to seat all 40 members.
• Cooking equipment, provided in coordination with the Food Team.

Participants should prepare by bringing at least:

• Sleeping tents.
• A sleeping bag suited to the climate. Temperatures can drop as low as 5 degrees Celsius (43 degrees Fahrenheit) overnight.
• A camping mattress or foam pad, as the ground will be cold.
• A personal eating kit (knife, fork, spoon, chopsticks, mug, plate, and bowl).
• A water bottle and their Scout uniform.

This combination of provided resources and personal equipment is designed to ensure comfort, safety, and readiness for an active Jamboree experience.

Subcamp Design and Facilities

Each subcamp will be laid out to balance practicality with community spirit. Highlights include:

• A subcamp gate
• A welcoming Subcamp Office and reception desk.
• Covered programme areas and a small stage for activities and performances.
• Dedicated areas for subcamp staff, including meeting tents and storage.
• Facilities such as powerbank charging stations and refrigeration for medication to support participants’ needs.

Each unit of 40 participants will have an area which will measure about 20m x 25m with a total area of 500m2 (some will vary in shape, most but not all will be a rectangle)

Units themselves will have structured layouts, with sleeping tents organized for clarity and comfort:

• Tents for youth participants.
• Tent(s) for unit leaders, it’s suggested to use different colours (or another marker) to make them easy to identify.

Subcamp Programme 

Life in the subcamps will be dynamic and varied, with activities designed to build community and enrich the Jamboree experience. Participants can look forward to: 

•  First day quest to help units settle in. 
•  The Solidarity Badge, a series of activities throughout the Jamboree. 
•   Cultural events, offering half-day sessions that highlight diversity and global exchange. 

Free-time opportunities will also be a big part of subcamp life, with access to:  

• Outdoor playing equipment and quiet zones. 
•  Badge swapping and board games. 
•  Informal performances on the subcamp stage. 

Supporting Leadership and Community

Unit leaders play a key role in shaping the experience of young people at the Jamboree. To support them, daily Unit Leaders’ Meetings will be held, with four clear objectives:

• Information Sharing – ensuring all leaders are up to date on programme, logistics, and safety.
• Subcamp Coordination – managing day-to-day operations for a smooth camping experience.
• Q&A and Feedback – answering questions, collecting input, and improving delivery.
• Community Building – fostering a network of support and friendship among leaders.

These meetings ensure not only the smooth running of the Jamboree but also the growth of a strong leadership community.
