Gdańsk is served by Lech Wałęsa Airport (GDN), located 12 km from the city centre. The airport has direct flights to most major European air hubs, with a flight time of approximately two hours from London, Paris, Amsterdam or Frankfurt. The city is also well connected to Warsaw, the capital of Poland, by air or high-speed trains. 

Moving around Poland

A high-speed rail trip from Warsaw to Gdańsk takes 2.5 hours. Domestic flight prices are relatively affordable, and there is a modern highway system connecting major cities.

Gdańsk

Gdańsk has a well-developed transit system and many bike paths. You can hop on and off the Rapid Urban Rail and buses within the city. Trams will take you to the city beaches (15 minutes from the city centre), buses will take you to the Tricity Landscape Park (25 minutes from the city centre), the Rapid Urban Rail takes just 20 minutes to reach Sopot, a neighboring neighbouring city famous for its health resorts, and extending the ride by 10 minutes will take you to Gdynia (a port city).
