Participant Dining

Participant dining provision will be via a food market model and we will be looking for a well established supermarket provider from within Poland to ensure they are able to respond effectively and efficiently to demand.  Participant units will nominate representatives from within their unit to collect the ingredients required to prepare their three daily meals from their nominated food market and there will be four food markets; one in each Subcamp.  

 The system is likely to be points based with a set quota of points allocated per unit of forty. Four participants per unit can visit the market up to twice a day to collect the supplies for their group.

Camp Cookbook

The Campbook we plan to produce in collaboration with Scouts from around the world. Giving not just participants, but all scouts the opportunity to contribute to the Jamboree. We are looking to contingents to spread the word and request input from across your organisation.  Participants are free to either follow the cook book recipes, which will offer a well balance range of meals or alternatively, can create any dishes they want to, using the ingredients available in the food market.

Chef David

We are extremely lucky to have on the team our very own, extensively experienced, globally successful chef, Chef David.  Chef is working on ensuring our food provision is not only nutritionally balanced but also offers a range of options to suit the variety of global diets followed by our participants and volunteers.   Chef will also be supporting the cookbook production and will take the recipe submissions from Scouts, test and scale them to ensure they work with unit numbers and unit cooking equipment. We will then work with our food market supplier to align the ingredients available in the supermarket with the recipes.  

 IST Dining

The Provision will be similar to that in recent Jamborees with one large IST dining hall serviced by a professional catering company.

The 26th World Scout Jamboree is being held here in Poland; therefore, our suppliers will be accustomed to operating within Poland and will be influenced by their existing Polish supply chain and historical sales data. However, we have the opportunity to positively influence these factors by providing comprehensive detailed information on the diets of our participants and volunteers. 

What do we mean by dietary requirements?

A dietary requirement may range from a preference for a vegetarian or vegan diet, faith-based diets, medical diets, culturally followed diets, to specific lifestyle choices.

 Please be precise when specifying each individual’s dietary needs; don’t forget, what is customary/common in your culture may not be the same elsewhere. If a particular dietary consideration is important to you, inform us so that we can be adequately prepared and meet your expectations.

Food Sustainability

We aim to make this Jamboree the most sustainable to date and will be focusing on a meat-free and sustainable diets agenda in our provision.   This will be reflected in the Camp Cookbook recipes and on the menu in the IST facility. We are keen that participants and volunteers, where safe to do so, to choose to follow our lead and support this agenda.   We are not, on this occasion tempting an entirely meat free event however, we would like you to support our sustainable goals and choose the less environmentally impactful option; we will be giving you lots of information to support you in making good choices throughout the event!
