Chef David

We are extremely lucky to have on the team our very own, extensively experienced, globally successful chef, Chef David.  Chef is working on ensuring our food provision is not only nutritionally balanced but also offers a range of options to suit the variety of global diets followed by our participants and volunteers.   Chef will also be supporting the cookbook production and will take the recipe submissions from Scouts, test and scale them to ensure they work with unit numbers and unit cooking equipment. We will then work with our food market supplier to align the ingredients available in the supermarket with the recipes.

 What constitutes a standard diet in one culture may differ from that in others across the globe. By helping us clearly define these dietary profiles, you can assist us in ensuring that the suppliers receive the necessary information to meet everyone's needs. So, please ensure that you provide as much detail as possible at the time of registration and throughout as needs change, as this information will form the basis of our planning. We have listed several common dietary requirement categories on the registration form for individuals to select as appropriate; however, this list is by no means exhaustive.  More critical diets—such as allergies that, if not strictly followed, could result in severe or life-threatening conditions like anaphylaxis—must be communicated to us with as much detail as possible please

 Additionally, there are highly specialized and complex dietary needs. If you have individuals who may fall into this category—such as those with multiple allergies, or those following specific medical or uncommon faith-based diets —again, please contact CRE Contingent Relations Department so we can work with you to ensure their requirements are adequately met.
