Listening Ears are IST members trained to provide support to youth and adults by listening to the challenges they may be facing, particularly during times of emotional or mental difficulty. They play a crucial role by offering a compassionate ear to those in need.
Did you know that during World Scout Jamboree 2027, there will be over 100 Listening Ears ready to support you? We want to create a safe space where everyone - participant, Patrol Leader, IST, or CMT - feels cared for, heard, and understood when facing difficulties.

You can help us a lot by encouraging suitable candidates to apply to become Listening Ears ISTs. You may not be joining us, but someone in your NSO might be a perfect fit!

If you are a Head of Contingent, you can also consider appointing an internal Listening Ear(s) in your Contingent as a part of CMT. This way the participants and ISTs from your contingent will have an easy access to the emotional and psychological support in their native language.
