The Plaza, located at the very heart of the Jamboree, will be a vibrant area open to participants, ISTs and external visitors. This space will include the Contingent TentsNational Pavilions, the Food Houses, the Faith and Beliefs area, the Equality Zone, the Scout Centre, the Scout Shop, a Swap Centre, a Silent Disco, the Head of Contingents Base Camp, and further activities in the development. We will provide more information on these areas in due time. For the moment, we wish to share the Contingent Tents’ National Pavilions’ concept to motivate all NSOs to think about how they would like to shape theirs.

National Pavilions

The Contingent tents National Pavilions are multipurpose individual spaces for the Contingents, located at the very core of the Jamboree: the Plaza. Each Contingent is invited to develop its own tent according to its needs, sizes, pedagogical and communicational objectives.

Contingent tents National Pavilions have a front side open to the public, and sometimes (if the contingent sees a need for it), a private back office as well. The front side is a space for countries to display their cultures, show how scouting takes place in their NSOs, and propose related drop-in activities for the participants to take part in. We encourage the inclusion of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in the displays and activities, with a special attention to how these are related to your youth.
