IST Dining
The dining provision for the International Service Team ( IST ) will follow a model similar model to that used at recent World Scout Jamborees, featuring a large, central dining hall operated by a professional catering company.
Breakfast and the evening meal dinner will be served in the dining hall, while lunch will be provided as a takeaway optionmeal, collected during the breakfast period. We are closely working together with all departments to ensure

Food Success
We all share a common goal — A shared goal unites all participants: ensuring that everyone eats well and enjoys their the dining experience at the Jamboree. To help make this possible, here are a few helpful hints and reminders for Heads of Contingents to share with their teamsThe following reminders may help Heads of Contingent and their teams contribute to a smooth and positive experience:
- Be prepared to queue. Queuing is all
- part of the Jamboree experience — and often where some of the best friendships are made
- new friendships begin!
- Be considerate of others : If you don’t need to leave early for activities or duties, please allow those who do to go
- . Those with early duties or activities should be allowed to move ahead at mealtimes.
- Communicate issues promptly : If something isn’t quite right, let the catering team know immediately. We can only resolve issues when we’re made aware of them — so please don’t wait until the end of the event to tell us something was wrong
- . Any problems or concerns should be reported immediately to the catering team so that they can be resolved quickly.
- Be specific about dietary needs :
- . Provide accurate and detailed information regarding
- for each individual dietary requirements
- to ensure the right
- correct provision is made
- .
- Share information clearly : Don’t assume we already know something — tell us everything that might help us support you effectively
- . Never assume prior knowledge; all relevant details help ensure appropriate support.
- Ask questions : If you’re unsure about anything, please ask. The only unhelpful question is the one that goes unasked!
...
- . Clarification is always welcome — unanswered questions help no one.
By following these simple principles, the Jamboree dining experience can remain positive, inclusive, and enjoyable for everyone.
