The first step in making the Jamboree a Safe from Harm (SfH) event is prevention and education. The responsibility to create a fair, safe and respectful experience at the Jamboree is a responsibility shared among all the people engaged in this venture. We would like to engage in the safeguarding practices of the largest and the most important group at the Jamboree – participants. Learning material will be distributed to the Contingents with a recommendation to pass it to the Patrol and Unit Leaders. It will include a range of different activities applicable in different settings: group meetings, individual engagement, and online participation.

We are dedicated to ensuring the safety and well-being of all participants and adults at the World Scout Jamboree, also through comprehensive safeguarding measures and fast reactions to incidents. The representative of the Safe from Harm Operations Unit will be operating at the Emergency Operations Centre (available 24h), in conjunction with the Jamboree Operations Centre.
In the event of moderate and severe Safe from Harm incidents, the Safe from Harm Operations Unit may require assistance from the Contingent Management Team. Please make sure to choose one person among your CMT or one contact number, which will be an emergency contact number used for communication in the case of Safe from Harm incidents involving participants or adults that are a part of your Contingent.
