Listening Ear at the Jamboree

Listening Ears are IST members trained to provide support to youth and adults by listening to the challenges they may be facing, particularly during times of emotional or mental difficulty. They play a crucial role by offering a compassionate ear to those in need.

Did you know that during the 26th World Scout Jamboree, there will be over 100 Listening Ears ready to support you? We want to create a safe space where everyone - participant, Patrol Leader, IST, or CMT - feels cared for, heard, and understood when facing difficulties.

Several Listening Ears stations will be in Hubs and other key locations, such as Plaza and programme venues.

At each Listening Ear station there will be a Safe Zone – a quiet place for reduce overstimulation and give a space for those who need a moment after Listening Ear support before joining an intense Jamboree experience. It will be also a safe space for participants and adults after receiving medical assistance.
