Dear Heads of Contingent and National Scout Organization leadership,

Since the first World Scout Jamboree in 1920, Scouting events have offered transformative educational experiences for young people and volunteers
everywhere, while also strengthening the unity of the Scout Movement worldwide.

As we look ahead to one of the major Scouting events happening this triennium, I  invite you to join us in 2027 for the 26th World Scout Jamboree being held in
Gdańsk, Poland and hosted by Związek Harcerstwa Polskiego (ZHP).

This Jamboree will be a historic event coinciding with the 120th anniversary of the  Scout Movement, and bringing together tens of thousands of young people and volunteers from around the world. The Jamboree will be a unique opportunity to celebrate and experience the diversity and unity of international Scouting, forge lifelong friendships, and engage in meaningful cultural exchanges. I still look back fondly at my own transformative experience participating at the 20th World Scout  Jamboree in Thailand. Through adventure activities and hands-on learning, participants will build new skills that will enable them to be ready for life and contribute to their communities as leaders and global citizens.

In recent years, the landscape of large-scale international youth events has  evolved significantly. The increasing focus on safety, safeguarding, sustainability, and resilience in the face of climate change and global challenges has required us to rethink and enhance the way we deliver WOSM Events.

As we prepare for the 26th World Scout Jamboree, World Scouting is committed to  working alongside ZHP, Member Organizations, and our global partners to ensure we deliver high-quality and safe experience for all participants and volunteers. We also aim to provide clear and transparent guidance to National Scout Organizations to prepare their Contingents, and uphold our commitment to sustainability and
environmental responsibility as part of our climate impact strategy.

The Jamboree’s theme, Bravely!, calls on us to explore, overcome challenges, and celebrate the bonds that unite us as a global community. As leaders of National Scout Organizations and Contingents, your role is instrumental in bringing this experience to life for thousands of young people and volunteers from all around the world, many of whom will be embarking on their first international Scouting journey.

I wish you all the very best in your preparations for the event as you engage your  Contingents, and as we come together — bravely — to create an unforgettable experience for everyone involved in the 26th World Scout Jamboree. See you in Poland in 2027!

Yours in Scouting,

Daniël Corsen
