Arrival and departure dates
The Check-In Center (AmberExpo Centrum Wystawienniczo-Kongresowe AmberExpo, Żaglowa 11 Street, 80-560 Gdańsk, Polska) will be open 24/7 so that arrivals can happen at any time during the pre-allocated dates or later. The Check-In for IST opens on the 27th of July. However, some IST will be asked to arrive earlier due to their assignment. Please note that it is not allowed to arrive prior to the designed date. Patrols can arrive on 29 July. Exceptions are agreed in advance. More information on arrivals will be in Bulletin 4.
The official departure date for Patrols will be 9 August. IST departure dates will be the following day, the 10August. Exceptions are agreed in advance. More information on departures will be in Bulletin 4.
Arrivals for participants take place exclusively in Patrols. Unaccompanied minors are not allowed to report to the Check-in Center on their own — every Youth Participant must arrive with their Patrol.
Only the following individuals are allowed to enter the Check-In Center:
- The Adult Patrol leader, representing at that moment the complete Patrol
- IST (who are arriving individually).
Entry points and means of Transportation
The main Entry point is Check-In Center (in AmberExpo) where everybody needs to arrive before going to the Jamboree site to check in and receive credentials and other materials. There are four other Entry points from where there is a Jamboree shuttle bus to transfer Patrols and IST to Check-In Center for Check- In. These entry points are Gdańsk Lech Wałęsa Airport, Gdańsk Główny Train Station and 2 ferry terminals – Gdańsk Ferry Terminal and Gdynia Ferry Terminal.
These are the different ways to reach the Check-In Center:
- By Jamboree Shuttle bus from the Gdańsk Lech Wałęsa Airport
- By Jamboree Shuttle bus from the Gdańsk Główny Train Station
- By Jamboree Shuttle bus from the Gdańsk Ferry Terminal
- By Jamboree Shuttle bus from the Gdynia Ferry Terminal
- By a charter bus from the Gdańsk and Gdynia Ferry Terminals By a charter bus from elsewhere
- By a car/minibus
- By bike/bicycle
- By walking
These are the two ways IST and Patrols can get from Check-In Center to Jamboree site:
- By Jamboree Shuttle bus
- By a charter bus
There will be a parking lot for those Patrols and IST that need to park buses or personal vehicles. The permissions to park in the Jamboree adult parking place will be given with other Check-In material.
